Problem, Need or Opportunity
         25/44 recording studios is a small in home studio run by Rob Logic.  The studio is used to record local San Diego bands.  Though the studio does have a MySpace and a Facebook, Rob would like a website that bands can be redirected to in order to obtain more information on the equipment used in the studio as well as any other information they may want to know.  A website is imperative for the studio’s success because as of now Rob records only friends bands.  As more bands record at his place, the equipment will be improved and rob will be able to focus more on his passion of making and recording great music.

Audience
The intended audience of this site will be bands looking to record their music in a friendly, welcoming environment.  Other audiences may be local music buffs as the site will possibly feature links to band’s websites or MySpaces that have recorded in the studio.

User’s Needs
         In order to feel confidant of quality equipment and quality recordings when choosing 25/44 Recording users will want to see:

• Photos and descriptions of the equipment
• Samples of Music recorded in the studio
• Links to band’s sites that have used the studio
• Confessionals from bands about their experience
• A brief history of Rob’s involvement in the San Diego Music Scene

Environment
                  Most users will be accessing this site through personal computers in their homes or band practice space.  The site will likely utilize sound bits and possibly video which may or may not slow down download times.  The users will want to have access to speakers and a fast enough internet connection to play videos and view slideshows.  Likely it will be a small group viewing the site, so the pictures and print will need to be large.

Resources and Limitations
         This site will use personal photographs as well as music recorded in the studio.  Since the recordings are original works we will need to obtain permission from bands to use their material and link their site, this should not be a problem however, given that bands want as much exposure as possible.  Constant interviews with Rob will be necessary to make sure the site is constructed to his liking.  I will complete the site within the time given for the class, about two months total. 

General Solution
         Overall this site will give 25/44 Recording Studios more exposure and allow Rob to record more bands and support his passion for recording and playing music.  It will also give local bands a place to go to get a general idea of what 25/44ß Recordings can do for them.  The site will be comprehensive enough to give bands an interest in the studio and a way to get their music recorded and out to the public.
